Nosophobia: 50Y0 woman ends life fearing COVID at Malakpet

Fearful of contracting infection, a 50-year-old woman ended her life after her tenants tested positive for COVID at Malakpet.
Identified as Aaradhana Vijayvargiya, she was admitted to the hospital two days back.
According to police, Surender Kumar Vijayvargiya and Aaradhana Vijayvargiya had been residing at Street No-9 of Shalivahana Nagar in Malakpet.
While the couple stayed on the top floor of the building, their tenants were putting up on the ground floor. A few days ago, two tenants tested positive for COVID 19. Ever since Aaradhana was worried that she and her husband would also contract the infection.
On Wednesday night, after having dinner, she went inside her room and took the extreme step. Her husband immediately shifted her to Omni hospital for treatment. However, she breathed her last in the early hours of Friday.
Her younger brother Dinesh Kumar Vijayvargiya told police that she was suffering from depression.
