Hyderabad: Students appearing for Intermediate examinations will get to know their subject-wise marks through an SMS.

When one writes an exam to get into a stream in higher education, they get results in the form of an SMS. The Board of Intermediate has decided to follow the same format. This will be useful for approximately 9.65 lakh students appearing for the examination.

Unlike during entrance tests where only ranks are sent, here marks of all five subjects are to be given, including of practical.

Intermediate examinations are scheduled for March 4 to 23 whereas 10th class examinations are to begin on March 19.

The Board of Intermediate has also started the process of sending three set of question papers to all the districts from Saturday. These measures are to prevent the earlier cases of tenth and Intermediate question papers being messed up.

Higher Education Secretary, Chitra Ramachandran said that educational institutions should hire counsellors to remove exam fear from the minds of students. She also said that Help centres should be organised near bus stands and railway stations to guide students coming from outside to their exam centres.
