Actress Parineeti Chopra has been preparing to play Saina Nehwal in a movie on the latter’s life by performing various rigorous training regiments. The actress has been sharing multiple pictures from her training sessions and updates on the film for quite some time. She kept her fans posted on what she has been up to, and how she is prepping up to fit in the shoes of Saina.

From writing down questions to ask the ace badminton player to hit the gym to get physically fit, the actress does everything she could. The other day, Parineeti took to her Twitter handle to share a photograph of herself and Saina, and wrote, “30 more days to be her … and live her (sic).”

However, much before the actress and her fans could celebrate the update, Parineeti shared another post that made netizens sad. The actress hurt her neck while prepping for the role. She shared a picture where she is seen sporting kinesiology tapes and captioned it as, “Dude. Me and the entire team of Saina have been taking so much care that I shouldn’t get an injury, but shit happens! Will rest it as much as I can before I can start playing badminton again. #SainaNehwalBiopic (sic).”

Fans poured in some “get well soon” and “take care” wishes. Parineeti, during promotions of Jabariya Jodi, had said that she couldn’t wait to play Saina. She added that she never saw Saina playing, but had always wanted to perform exactly like the ace badminton player.

Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was set to play the lead role in the Saina biopic. She even started shooting for the film. However, the actress quit as she had several other projects in the line-up. Amol Gupte is directing the biopic and will go to floors once Parineeti recovers.
