Hyderabad: After the stupendous success with Khaidi, actor Karthi is all set for his next film, for which he teamed up with his sister-in-law Jyothika. In this film, Jyothika will be seen playing a sister to Karthi. This is the first time they are collaborating and their fans are super excited to watch them working together.

So Donga, which is being made as an emotional film produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Parallel Minds Production, will be directed by Jeethu Joseph, who made Drishyam. This film will be shot in Tamil and dubbed and released in Telugu.

The first-look poster was unveiled by none other than Suriya Sivakumar on Friday. Viacom 18 Studios and Suraj Sadaana are producing this flick. If things go as per the plans, the makers are planning to release the film in December.

Khaidi is the film which marked the turning point in megastar Chiranjeevi’s career. Recently, Karthi has scored a blockbuster titled Khaidi. Now he is coming as Donga, which is once again, the title of the megastar’s another film. It is a strange coincidence that in the past too, the megastar did Donga after a blockbuster hit with Khaidi.

Besides Karthi and Jyothika, the film has Sathya Raj in a lead role. Cinematography will be handled by RD Rajasekhar, while music will be composed by Govind Vasantha Menon, the youngster who gave the tunes for 96.

Besides Donga, Karthi has also the sequel of Khaidi in his kitty. Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of Khaidi is ready with the sequel story and he asked Karthi for call sheets for 30 days. Karthi has confirmed that the sequel will go on floors soon and might release sometime later next year.
