Pataal Lok is drawing praise and criticism alike

Hyderabad: The new game changing web series,"Pataal Lok", is drawing positive attention and criticism alike.

The series focuses on Islamophobia and its victims and is partially acclaimed for stating what is known to be as social crisis in today's world, but some critics have accused the series, the cast and crew of Hindu phobia. They said that the series was a means of denouncing FB, media and the Hindu community.

Some attackers have even dug out movie references from the past to hint at the seeming hypocrisy of Bollywood towards the religions. The series has been compared to "Kai Po Che", "Leila" and "Badrinath" for depicting one religion as victimized and the other as honourable and liberated.

Some even took a sly dig at this by tweeting that Virat Kohli had applauded the relief work carried out by the RSS organization while Anushka created a contradictory hit series.

Nevertheless, some fans have taken to Twitter to share their admiration for the work and have lauded the characters, Jaideep Ahlawat, Ishwak Singh, Abhishek Banerjee and Neeraj Kabi, for their exemplary performance.

Actors Richa Chadda, Radhike Apte, Rajkumar Rao, Madhavan and Varun Dhawan have also shown their appreciation by promoting the series.
