PK donates 1 Cr, Ram Charan 70 L towards corona relief measures
By Kiran KS Published on 26 March 2020 12:24 PM GMTIn the wake of the COVID 19, which is spreading across the country, Actor-Politician, Pawan Kalyan has donated 1 crore to the Prime Ministers Relief Fund for various relief measure activities. In addition, the Janasena Supremo has also donated 50 lakhs each to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministersā Relief Fund.
He instructed his senior party officials to hand over the donation through a bank transfer because of the nation-wide lockdown. The actor has also urged all his fans to follow the instructions of the government and take enough measures to curb the spread of Covid19 in the country. Recently, the actor had donated Rs 1 crore towards Sainik Welfare Board on February 20 for the families of soldiers who were martyred or injured during the war.
Meanwhile, his nephew, actor Ram Charan also donated 70 Lakhs to the centre and state governments of AP and Telangana for corona relief measures. Ram Charan, who took everyone by surprise by joining Twitter on Thursday announced about his donation with a tweet which says, āHope this tweet finds you in good health. At this hour of crisis, inspired by @PawanKalyan garu, I want to do my bit by contributing to aid the laudable efforts of our governments...Hope you all are staying safe at home! @TelanganaCMO @AndhraPradeshCM @PMOIndia @KTRTRS
Prominent writer-director Trivikram Srinivas also donated 10 lakhs each to the AP and Telangana governments. Young director Anil Ravipudi also donated 5 Lakhs each to the two Telugu states. Actor Nithiin came forward and donated 20 lakhs to Chief Ministers Relief Fund. In the wake of pandemic which struck the entire country, many members of film fraternity are coming forward and contributing towards relief measures.
