Police busts prostitution ring in Banjara Hills; three arrested, two victims rescued

Hyderabad: Police have busted an organized prostitution racket at Paramount Colony in Banjara Hills.

Three people including a customer have been arrested, while two victims have been rescued.

Police said on July 29, sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force on a tip-off conducted a raid and busted an organized prostitution racket at Paramount Colony, Banjara Hills.

Police apprehended two persons running the brothel. Police also apprehended one customer and seized Rs 4,100 and 2 cell phones from their possession. Police also rescued two victims.

During the investigation, police found that the brothel organizers, Deepchand, 26, and Deepak Sharma, 35, were involved in women trafficking.

Police found that two days ago the accused took a portion in the residential area of Banjara Hills on rent and converted it into a brothel.

The modus operandi of the accused was to engage female sex workers from different places of Hyderabad. They were paid Rs.15, 000 to Rs.20, 000 per week. The accused used to contact the customers over the phone. They used to charge Rs.3, 000 to Rs.5,000 from each customer.

Two days ago, Deepchand brought two victims and lodged them in Banjara Hills apartment.

Police have apprehended all the accused and rescued two victims. Seized cash and other material were handed over to SHO, Banjara Hills Police Station for further necessary action.
