Police denies permission to TDP rally in Tirupati

Several former MLAs and senior party functionaries have been placed under house arrest here and in other parts of Chittoor district.
Former Minister N Amarnath Reddy was put under house arrest at Ithepalli while former local MLA M Sugunamma was detained at her house in the city. They both were bound for the Amaravati Parirakshana rally in which party Mr Naidu was to participate. Others detained included TUDA former Chairman G Narasimha Yadav and MLC Sreeenivasulu. Tension prevailed at Sugunamma's house when party cadre gathered in large numbers.
