Amaravati: YSRCP has won all four MLC seats from local body constituencies the results of which were declared on Thursday. Counting for the biennial elections in Andhra Pradesh was held on 16 March at 8 a.m. The polling for the total nine MLC seats was held on 13 March.

YSRCP candidate Narthu Ramarao won the Srikakulam seat with 632 votes against Independent candidate A. Ramakrishna who got 108 votes.

Dr. Madhusudhan won in the Kurnool district with a majority of 988 votes out of 1,136 votes.

Kavuru Srinivas and Vanka Ravindranath won both seats from West Godavari local body constituencies. Srinivas got 481 votes and Ravindranath got 460 votes.

Earlier, five candidates on the local-body quota— S. Mangamma from Anantapur, Ponnapureddy Ramasubba Reddy from Kadapa, Sipayi Subrahmanyam from Chittoor, Meriga Muralidhar from Nellore, and Kudipudi Suryanarayana Rao from East Godavari—were declared unanimous.

While the counting of four MLC seats for the local body constituencies was completed, the counting of votes for two teachers’ constituencies and three graduate constituencies is still going on.
