Bakwas Jhumla Party: KTR takes umbrage at Naddas allegation

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused BJP leadership of indulging in cheap and heinous politics.

"I am not responding to JP Nadda, but I want to clarify a few things to the people of Telangana," said KTR in his opening lines of the press conference held at Telangana Bhavan, party headquarters.

KTR said that the BJP is nothing but a 'Bakwas Jhumla Party'. "They did no good to the country. When we call them out for doing Jhumla, they do hamla by using ED, CBI, and NIA. They only want to create communal disturbances for votes in the country," he alleged.

He trashed the statements made by Nadda on Kaleshwaram Project and Mission Bhagiratha.

On Minister of State for Jal Shakti Bisweshwar Tudu's clean chit to the Telangana government, KTR said Kaleshwaram Project, which is the world's largest lift irrigation project, has received applause from everyone.

TPCC president and MP Revanth Reddy had asked the question about the Kaleshwaram project in Parliament. Minister of State for Jal Shakti Bisweshwar Tudu responded by saying that the Telangana government executed all the funds for the Kaleshwaram project and there were no instances of corruption.

JP Nadda has lost his mind and is just reading out anything given to him by the local BJP leaders, KTR said.

KTR highlighted that people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are migrating to Telangana for livelihood,

"They are being taken care of by the TRS government here," he said.

KTR said Telangana is seeing reverse migration in various parts. Nadda has no right to talk about Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao, who has introduced so many farmer welfare schemes in Telangana.

"Farmers protesting in Delhi were lathi-charged and tortured," he said

Counting Nadda's statement of family rule, KTR, who is also the Minister for IT and Industries, said they were elected by people. "We have a history of fighting for separate statehood for Telangana." He said.

He reminded JP Nadda that his Mother - in - law Jaysree Banerjee was a Member of Parliament. He took a series of names of BJP leaders who have multiple family members in politics.
