Bandi Sanjay dares KTR for debate on MP Ramesh’s claims, says will boycott BC quota over ‘Muslim appeasement’

Kamareddy: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday challenged BRS working president KT Rama Rao to a face-to-face public debate over sensational claims made by BJP MP CM Ramesh.

The BJP leader alleged that the BRS leadership offered to merge with the BJP in return for quashing legal proceedings against MLC K Kavitha.

“KTR calls it a lie. Let him come to the stage. I’ll bring CM Ramesh. Let’s fix a date and let the people decide who’s telling the truth,” Sanjay declared, addressing the media in Kamareddy.

He also took a shot at the Congress State government for making the BC quota declaration a ‘Muslim Declaration in disguise.’

‘BRS offered merger deal’: Sanjay backs Ramesh

Backing his party colleague CM Ramesh, who claimed that BRS leaders were ready to dissolve their party into the BJP if the cases against Kavitha were dropped, Bandi Sanjay said the truth cannot be hidden behind denials.

“The people of Telangana have the right to know what kind of backdoor politics are being played. Let there be a transparent debate in full public view,” he said.

BC declaration a cover for Muslim quota, alleges Sanjay

Turning his attention to the Congress government, Sanjay strongly criticised the recently unveiled BC Declaration, alleging that it was a ‘Muslim Declaration in disguise.’

He claimed that by allocating 27 per cent reservation for BCs while including an additional 10 per cent for Muslims within the same quota, the State government was engaging in ‘religion-based appeasement.’

“This is not a BC Declaration—it’s a calculated move to benefit Muslims under the BC quota,” Sanjay alleged. “If this poisonous tree is not uprooted in Telangana, it will spread across India,” he warned, alleging a wider conspiracy to reduce the Hindu population to a minority.

‘Will block bill if Muslims are not dropped from BC list’

The Union Minister declared that he would oppose any BC reservation bill at the Centre unless Muslims are removed from the BC category. He demanded a clear 42 per cent quota strictly for traditional BC communities, excluding any religion-based provisions. “We support social justice, not communal quotas,” he said.

Karimnagar hospital gets a critical care unit

Earlier in the day, Bandi Sanjay inaugurated a newly constructed Critical Care Block at the District Headquarters Hospital in Karimnagar. The facility, built with funds from the Central government, aims to enhance emergency and intensive care services. Sanjay inspected the infrastructure, interacted with staff, and reviewed patient care standards.
