`BJP destroyed India in 8 years': KCR announces to launch `JP like Movement' to expose Centre

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced to launch `JP-like Movement' to expose BJP's conspiracies in a bid to safeguard India's democracy.

"The democracy is at stake. I will launch JP like movement to safeguard India's democracy. I am ready to sacrifice my life for the country. I have alerted Delhi CM. The state governments are not allowed to function. India is in danger. Poor are in distress. Unemployment has increased. Foreign exchange reserves have depleted. There is no water and no power. Farmer suicides are staring at the country. But BJP is only interested in toppling the governments," he said.

KCR said BJP has destroyed India in its eight-year rule. "Inflation has gone up. The rupee has fallen. Unemployment and poverty are on the rise. Divisive politics has polluted the social fabric. There is no respect for constitutional bodies including Legislature, Executive, Judiciary, and media. Indira Gandhi after the Bangladesh war said she was invincible. Due to imposing emergency, people threw her out," he said.

Invoking Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters, he said they gave sacrifices for upholding the freedom and democracy of the country, but BJP is ruining everything. "Gandhi, Nehru, Bhagat Singh, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel fought for independence. Incidents like Jallianwala Bagh also took place here. We got independence only because of the sacrifices. But BJP has spoiled everything. They have ruined the country," he said.

The chief minister said BJP led government was trying to demean democracy and dethrone the elected governments for vested interests. "Modi himself said 40 rival party MLAs were in touch with him in a public meeting in West Bengal. BJP leaders who wanted to buy our MLAs said they don't have to worry. ED and IT and Y category protection will be provided," he said.

KCR urged the media and people to fight unitedly and condemn the BJP's activities and political exploitation

"BJP conspiracy politics is shameful to the country. People, youth, and media should fight unitedly and condemn the BJP activities and political exploitation," he said.
