BRS flags ‘20,000 fake votes’ in Jubilee Hills; KTR says Congress misusing power
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday accused the ruling Congress Party of carrying out a large-scale voter fraud in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency,
Claiming that BRS had identified nearly 20,000 duplicate and fake votes, KTR alleged manipulation of the electoral rolls through fake and duplicate entries.
KTR, accompanied by senior BRS leaders, met Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sudarshan Reddy and submitted a detailed representation urging the Election Commission to probe the irregularities and act against officials allegedly involved.
‘Congress misusing power, machinery’
Speaking to the media after the meeting, KTR alleged that the Congress was ‘misusing every possible means of persuasion, division, and coercion to win the Jubilee Hills seat.’
He said ministers from across Telangana had descended on the constituency, turning it into a ‘political laboratory for abuse of official power.’
“When their own MLAs are writing letters to the World Bank and newspapers saying the government has no funds, the Congress government is suddenly releasing crores in Jubilee Hills to lure voters,” KTR remarked.
Fake voters flooding Jubilee Hills, claims BRS
Presenting what he described as ‘shocking evidence,’ KTR said the BRS had identified nearly 20,000 duplicate and fake votes in the constituency.
Around 400 polling booths reportedly have up to 50 fake voters each. In several instances, one person possessed two or three voter ID cards, while the same name appeared multiple times with slight spelling variations.
‘A small house had over 100 votes’
In certain houses, as many as 150–200 votes were registered at a single address.
“In one shocking case, a small house had over 100 votes,” KTR alleged.
He said around 15,000 voters were enrolled without valid addresses and cited a case where a house owner confirmed that none of the 23 registered voters resided at his property.
‘Officials colluding with Congress’
The BRS leader alleged that the ruling party was colluding with lower-level officials to inflate the voter list in its favour.
“Despite deleting around 12,000 invalid entries earlier, another 7,000 fake votes have been freshly added. The manipulation continues even under the Election Commission’s watch,” he charged.
KTR compared the alleged irregularities to “Rahul Gandhi’s national-level electoral manipulation reflected locally in Jubilee Hills.”

BRS demands EC action
In its representation, the BRS urged the Election Commission to:
1. Conduct a full-scale inquiry into the Jubilee Hills voter list.
2. Take disciplinary action against officials found colluding in the irregularities.
3. Transfer compromised field officers to ensure impartial polling.
‘Congress will be exposed before the people’
KTR warned that the Congress attempt to ‘win Jubilee Hills through fraud’ would backfire.
“Their voter theft will be exposed before the people. We will take this issue to every doorstep and ensure justice is done,” he said.
