BRS MLA Padma Rao Goud undergoes surgery after heart attack; KTR, Kavitha visit leader

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao along with the party leaders visited Secunderabad MLA T Padma Rao Goud at his residence on Wednesday to inquire about his health.

Padma Rao Goud suffered a heart attack during his visit to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Tuesday. He underwent an emergency angioplasty procedure at a local hospital and was brought back to Hyderabad. His health condition is stable.

KTR spoke to Padma Rao Goud for a while and wished him a speedy recovery. He assured the family members of Padma Rao Goud of any assistance they required and emphasised the BRS party’s commitment to supporting its senior leaders.

Urged his followers, close associates, friends and well-wishers in Hyderabad not to unnecessarily panic over his health, on Tuesday night, Padma Rao Goud on his X account, wrote, “I am fit and healthy and there is no need to panic.”

Padma Rao has been the MLA for the Secunderabad Assembly constituency since 2014, and he previously served as deputy speaker of the Assembly during the BRS government’s term.

MLC K Kavitha, Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, former ministers Puvvada Ajay and V Srinivas Goud accompanied KTR during his visit to Padma Rao Goud’s residence.
