CM Naidu discusses road map for Andhra’s growth with Cabinet, MLAs, MLCs
Naidu announced that Dokka Seethamma canteens would be set up as requested by Pawan Kalyan

In a meeting with the MLAs and MLCs of the ruling TDP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Monday, he charted a road map for developing the State.
After the governor’s address to the combined session of the Legislature, the CM had a detailed meeting with the MLAs and MLCs, also attended by the deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan, and all the ministers.
‘No funds for emergencies due to previous government’
During the meeting, Chandrababu mainly focussed on the issues to be discussed on the Floor of the Council and the Assembly regarding various sections of people, the results of the decisions taken by the NDA government, the style of functioning of the members of both the Houses along with their responsibilities.
“The people have handed the power to us by reposing immense faith in us. We should function by providing good governance and maintain that trust,” the chief minister told the MLAs and MLCs.
Alleging that the previous government has completely destroyed the systems put in place for the public, Chandrababu said the financial condition of the State is in a very bad position.
“The previous government has brought the economic condition of the State to such a place that funds cannot be spent from the exchequer even for emergency purposes,” the CM claimed.
‘We came to power to do good to people’
All systems were crippled while the bureaucratic setup went off track due to the incompetent and inefficient ruling of the previous government, he said. “There are now several challenges before our government and by resolving these issues we have to take up welfare and development,” the chief minister told the ministers present.
The previous government ruled the State without giving any importance to democracy, he said and recalled that when Pawan Kalyan visited Visakhapatnam he was firmly resisted.
Warning the MLAs and MLCs against bad practices, the chief minister said that the YSRCP leaders wanted to loot the State. “We have come to power to do good to the State and the people,” he noted.
‘Vinukonda murder was from personal rivalry’
Informing the MLAs and MLCs about the ‘drama’ that the YSRCP leaders played regarding the murder of Jagan’s paternal uncle, YS Vivekaknada Reddy, Chandrababu said that they have mastered the art of escaping safely after committing the crime.
He also alleged that the fire incident at Madanapalle Taluk Office where important files pertaining to assigned lands under Rule 22A were burned was a deliberate act.
The CM also cited the Vinukonda incident as an example of how the YSRCP is resorting to fake news. CM Naidu said that the murder was purely because of a personal rivalry but it did not stop Jagan from calling for a President’s Rule.
‘Centre ready to help Andhra’
He directed the MLAs and MLCs to take part in the pension distribution every month and announced that Dokka Seethamma canteens would be set up as requested by Pawan Kalyan.
CM Chandrababu Naidu said the State needs to take up immediate road repairs which may cost around Rs 250 crores to Rs 300 crores. “Let us focus on this after the rainy season ends,” he said.
The chief minister also declared that the Centre is ready to extend financial assistance to the State to help with the ‘poor financial condition of the State’.
No traffic issues during CM visits
Chandrababu reiterated that the traffic should not be stalled during his visits and stated that he would periodically review this. He also wanted the MLAs and MLCs to follow the norm including following no horns and sirens.
The meeting with the MLAS and MLCs comes in few days after YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan stated that 31 people have been murdered, nearly 300 murder attempts have been made in one month after formation of new government. The former chief minister has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an investigation by central agencies into the attacks against YSRCP workers and leaders after elections.
"As many as 35 people have died by suicide due to TDP harassment. Around 560 private properties have been destroyed and as many as 490 government properties have been vandalized. Nearly 2,700 families have left their villages due to these atrocities," stated Jagan.
