Hyderabad: CM Revanth Reddy slams Centre for ending conflict with Pakistan without consulting parties
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy participated in Jai Hind Yatra and Sabha at Nizampet here on Thursday, Hyderabad. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explain āwhy the war with Pakistan was called off hurriedly within four days.ā
āWhy was an all-party meeting not called to seek the opinions of everyone before declaring a ceasefire?ā asked CM Revanth.
He was speaking at the Jai Hind Yatra and Sabha at Nizampet here on Thursday.
Congress extended support
The CM reiterated the support the Congress party gave to prime minister Narendra Modi in the fight against terrorists. āWe wanted those who shot bullets into the hearts of Indian tourists to be wiped out,ā he said.
āRahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge attended the all-party meeting and extended full support to the Centre and made it clear India should fight against Pakistan to merge the PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) with our country in the meeting,ā CM Revanth Reddy said.
Remembering Indira Gandhi
CM Revanth Reddy said, āOnly a leader with courage and determination prepares a war strategy, as was shown by former prime minister Indira Gandhi. She bravely declared war on China and gave a stern warning to them.ā
The CM criticised PM Modi for not taking any action against China after Indian Army official Colonel Santosh Kumar was killed in the fight against the Chinese army. He remembered invincible leader Indira Gandhiās strong warning to America when it tried to mediate between India and Pakistan during the 1971 war.
āIt was Indira Gandhi who taught a befitting lesson to Pakistan by dividing the enemy country into two parts during the war,ā he said.
āWhy is BJP organising Tiranga Rally?ā
The CM asked why the BJP leadership is organising a Tiranga Rally after the end of the conflict. āThe war was not your business, and it was an important issue of national security,ā he said and said that the Congress is organising the Jai Hind Yatra to instil self-confidence among Indian soldiers who were demoralised by the BJPās political moves.
CM Revanth Reddy reiterated that Congress and the Gandhi family have a history of sacrificing their lives for the country. Calling PM Modi āa spent forceā, the CM appealed to the party leaders and workers to strive hard and not relax until Rahul Gandhi becomes the prime minister. He asserted that India needs a strong leader like Rahul Gandhi in difficult times.
