Hyderabad: While the Telangana Congress is making new ties, it is found that there are a large number of rebels who are upset with the distribution of tickets in the 100 seats, announced in two parts by the party so far.

On October 30, Congress and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) formally decided to work together for the Telangana Assembly elections scheduled on November 30. But at the same time, Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes leaders are upset that they have not been provided tickets.

Senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy is meeting people who are upset with the distribution of tickets and pacifying them. People are coming from districts in large numbers to meet him. According to sources, Reddy is trying to show them the larger picture of when Congress comes to power.

MoU between TJS and Congress

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between TJS and the Congress party where TJS will support Congress in the present elections and Congress will provide key positions to TJS after elections.

In a press conference addressed to the people of Telangana, TJS leader Muddasani Kodandaram Reddy, also known as Professor Kodandaram, said, “We want the anti-people policies of the present government to end. For that reason, we have extended our support to the Congress party.”

TJS bus yatra to reach out to voters

TJS will embark on a bus yatra to take their message to the people. The bus yatra is planned to reach out to those who are upset with the anti-Bharat Rashtra Samithi policies. TPCC president Revanth Reddy says, “Kodandaram has been fighting against the anti-people policies of the BRS government for the last ten years. We are seeking cooperation from Professor Kodandaram to get rid of the scourge and suffering of Telangana.”

Gandhis to arrive in Telangana

Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be campaigning in Telangana on October 31 and November 1 respectively. Those who are upset with the ticket distribution are trying to reach out to them, to express their displeasure.

Many from the Congress party said that ‘parachute leaders’ have become an eyesore for the Congress leaders who have been with the party for the last 10 years when the party was not in power. “We have been left aside but those who have flown in from other parties are prioritised,” said a disgruntled leader.
