Congress punctures pink car, brands it symbol of BRS scams, corruption

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress on Friday afternoon brought out a pink car and punctured it. The act was a part of their poll campaign for the ensuing Telangana Assembly elections with polling scheduled for November 30.

With the Model Code of Conduct in effect in the state and campaigning in full swing, the Congress party decided to attack all aspects of the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). One of their strategies involved the BRS party symbol, a car. The party used a pink car on Friday as pink is the colour of the BRS party flag.

‘Car with scams’

While bringing the car to public display, the Congress party declared that the pink car, a symbol of the BRS party, is a visual representation of the scams and irregularities of the KCR-led government.

The car is currently on display at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, intended to raise public awareness regarding the failed promises of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, said the Congress leaders. After the car was displayed, Congress leaders got together and punctured the car and also shared videos of the act on social media.

Pink car to get a state tour

The leaders said that the pink car would be taken to different parts of the state for others to see it.

When asked if parading the BRS party symbol might attract more people towards BRS, the Congress leaders vehemently denied it stating that they are going to paste slogans against the BRS on the car.

With the leaders of both Congress and BRS calling out against each other, how much will these poll antics convince the voters on the ground will be known only after December 3.
