Crimes in AP will stop if Jagan steps down: Naidu
Mr. Naidu said the government had started a betrayal campaign on the Disha law

Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said crimes and atrocities in the state will stop only when the Jagan Mohan Reddy government is thrown out of power. "Jagan Reddy is committing unpardonable wrongs. He has not taken steps to stop ganja abuse. Gangsters are taking ganja and entering homes to rape helpless women. This Chief Minister should step down immediately," said Mr. Naidu.
On the third day of his "Badude Badudu" campaign, the TDP chief arrived in the united East Godavari district. He held a meeting with TDP activists of Prathipadu and Tuni Assembly segments. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naidu said YSRCP rulers were so shameless that they have started blaming the TDP for rapes and murders. The fact was that only the TDP would be able to save the people from crimes and atrocities under the "lawless" regime of Jagan Reddy, he added.
Expressing concern about the rape and murder of a girl on Thursday, Mr. Naidu said crimes against innocent women were going on endlessly. A woman was raped right on the platform of Repalle railway station in the united Guntur district. Another woman was brought and gang-raped by three persons for thirty hours at the Government General Hospital in Vijayawada.
Mr. Naidu said the government had started a betrayal campaign on the Disha law. This was repeatedly being proved by the manner in which endless atrocities were continuing against women. The Home minister's statements on a mother's role in raising her daughters are objectionable, the TDP chief said. He said that even the ruling YSRCP activists and sarpanches should join the state-wide agitation to throw out the Jagan Reddy regime. There was no special treatment for the YSRCP leaders and activists either. They were also not being spared from current bills. The party's sarpanches were also not getting funds to do any work, he alleged.
Mr. Naidu urged all sections of society to join the historic agitation against the anarchic rule. "There should be no room for an easy-going attitude. Nobody should ignore it simply because their neighbour is suffering now. But tomorrow they will face the same victimisation. Then there will be nobody to help them," he continued. He termed it unfortunate that the Home minister was just reading out statements dictated by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. While girls are becoming victims every day, the minister is passing comments on a mother's upbringing of their daughters. It is shameful that the CM dismissed illicit liquor deaths in Jangareddygudem as natural deaths, he added.
Mr. Naidu urged the TDP activists to roar like a lion and fight like "Kondaveeti Simham" and "Bobbili Puli", which were memorable films of NTR. In just three years, Jagan Reddy has turned into waste TDP's five years of hard work to make AP number one state by 2029, he alleged.
