A war of words broke out between BRS and BJP after the ruling party MLC passed derogatory remarks against governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan. MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy used "abusive and un-parliamentary" language against Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
He used a foul phrase while referring to the eight bills the governor was dealing with. One of the eight bills submitted to the governor for approval include a common recruitment board for university faculty. This bill is of great importance to the BRS government in light of the state's upcoming elections this year. BRS said she is neither giving her assent nor sending them back.
Akula Srivani, a BJP corporator from Saroornagar, filed a complaint with the police on Friday against MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy for using "abusive, vulgar, and un-parliamentary" language against the governor.
"The comments made against a governor are insulting all women. Strict action should be taken against Kaushik Reddy for making inappropriate remarks," BJP corporator Akula Srivani said in her complaint.
