Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has asked police not to arrest or take any coercive step against Dr RS Puneeth Kumar, the son of state BSP president Dr RS Praveen Kumar.
Justice T. Madhavi Devi directed the Kagaznagar Police not to arrest Dr Kumar, in a crime case.
The court was adjudicating the plea filed by Puneeth seeking a direction to stay all further proceedings in crime No.234 of 2023.
The case was registered on a complaint filed by Aleem Khan. He alleged Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar and his followers including RS Puneeth Kumar attacked him and his men and snatched Rs. 25000 when they were campaigning for BRS MLA Koneru Konappa.
It is pertinent to mention that Dr. RS Praveen Kumar is contesting the election on a BSP ticket. Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar, who is also accused in the case was granted relief by the High Court earlier.
