Dy CM Bhatti: Rs 12,000 aid for landless families; houses with solar units can earn income
Bhatti also announced that construction of Indiramma houses throughout the State will be taken up soon

Madhira (Khammam): In line with the promises made to people during last yearās State Assembly elections, deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has announced that Rs 12,000 will be directly credited into the accounts of landless poor families this year.
The deputy CM distributed financial assistance in the form of sanction documents worth Rs 15.32 crores to 847 Dalit Bandhu second phase beneficiary families at Nagulavancha village in Chintakani mandal in Madhira constituency on Tuesday.
Addressing a meeting on the occasion in Madhira on Tuesday, Bhatti Vikramarka said that the peopleās government has chosen to declare September 17 as āPeopleās Governance Dayā to mark the liberation of Telangana State from an oppressive tyrannical rule to democratic rule.
Constitution and democracy are sacred in this country and everyone who respected these ideas ā different views on the Liberation Day ā should welcome and respect September 17 as Day of Peopleās Rule, Bhatti said.
āIndiramma houses across Telanganaā
Bhatti also announced that construction of Indiramma houses throughout the State will be taken up soon. The scheme has been recently launched in Bhadrachalam by chief minister A Revanth Reddy. As per the scheme, the State government will extend Rs 6 lakhs to SC and ST beneficiaries and Rs 5 lakhs to other beneficiaries.
Observing that people are increasingly preferring organic agriculture products, the deputy CM suggested that farmers focus on organic farming in line with the demand. āPriority will be given to Chinthakani mandal for encouraging organic farming,ā he said.
The government said it will take the initiative to market food products produced by farmers through organic farming and facilitate a direct agreement between purchasers and farmers.
Solar agricultural pump sets
Along with the loan waiver, crop insurance, Rythu Bhima and subsidised power, the State government will soon introduce solar agricultural pump sets. Siripuram village in the Madhira constituency has been selected as the pilot project for the installation of solar agricultural pump sets.
Apart from giving free electricity up to 200 units to the poor under the Gruha Jyothi scheme, surplus power after utilising the solar power agricultural pump sets will be bought by the government to generate additional income for farmers, he said.
For this purpose, the government will select some villages under the pilot project to generate power through solar rooftops.
Speaking about linking solar power benefits with women self-help groups (SHGs), he said āThe government will give loans to SHG members through banks for setting up solar power generation plants and will buy back the solar power generated by SHGs and pay them money,ā he said.
Interest-free loans
To ensure financial empowerment of women, the government said it will give interest-free loans to the tune of Rs 20,000 crores every year to SHG members and in five years it will extend Rs 1 lakh crore interest-free loans to the women.
Taking pride in giving salaries to employees on the first of every month, Bhatti said the government had taken it as a challenge to set right the lopsided administration under the previous government and to bring the financial position of the State back on track from the crisis faced under the BRS government.
The peopleās government also cleared the pending hospital bills of several months, Kalyana Lakshmi, wages of mid-day meal scheme workers and pending hostel mess bills.
Congress rule will make people of Madhira proud: Bhatti
Bhatti Vikramarka said that he was working as MLA of Madhira and as deputy CM in the peopleās government to make people of Madhira constituency proud of their choice of leaders.
He said 3,462 families were selected in Chintakani mandal under the Dalit Bandhu scheme. Through a survey done by special officers, 847 Dalit families who did not get complete financial assistance under the first and second phases were given financial certificates for Rs 15,54,32,620 (more than Rs 15 crores).
He called upon the beneficiaries to utilise the financial assistance to do business and become strong economically.
He warned that the Dalit Bandhu units should not be bought or taken away by others by intimidating Dalit beneficiaries. It is the responsibility of special officers and district machinery to recover such units and restore them to Dalit beneficiaries, the deputy CM said.
