Eight BJP MPs won LS elections because of bogus voting: TPCC chief Mahesh Goud
Karimnagar: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud has accused the BJP of winning eight Lok Sabha seats through bogus voting.
Goud was speaking during his `Janahita Padayatra in Choppadandi and Gangadhara, Karimnagar district.
Accusations of Bogus Voting and Religious Politics
Mahesh Goud launched a scathing attack on the BJP, alleging that the party resorts to communal politics whenever elections are near. "From the moment they wake up, BJP leaders cannot spend their day without invoking caste and religion," he said, accusing them of being "beggars who seek votes in the name of God."
He specifically criticized them for allegedly asking for votes in the name of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy.
The TPCC President said eight BJP MPs won the recent Lok Sabha elections because of "bogus votes". He referenced a voter list, which he claimed was exposed by Rahul Gandhi, that showed "fraud becomes evident." Goud cited examples of more than one lakh bogus votes in Mahadevapur, hundreds of votes at a single address, and the same EPIC number being used across different states, calling it a "grave threat to democracy." He also demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who he claimed returned to power through "bogus votes," should step down immediately.
Targeting Bandi Sanjay and BRS
Goud specifically targeted BJP National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay, stating that he is not a genuine BC (Backward Classes) leader. "He is not a BC leader but a Deshmukh, a feudal lord," Goud alleged, claiming that as a member of the Munnuru Kapu community, Sanjay has been trailing behind Kishan Reddy in Delhi. Goud accused Sanjay of betraying future generations by remaining silent on the issue of 42% reservations for BCs and "hiding in Delhi."
The TPCC President also criticized the BRS party, claiming they have lost relevance. He pointed out that not a single new ration card was issued during their ten-year rule. "No one ever imagined that fine rice would be distributed," he remarked, adding that there was no need to discuss the BRS anymore.
