Election challenge case: Telangana HC asks ECI to submit expenditure record of BRS MLA Gangula
The Court asked the Election Commission to produce the record by September 5, 2023.

Telangana High Court has asked the Registry to send a letter to the Election Commission seeking records about the expenditure incurred by BRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar in the 2018 election.
Justice Dr. Sumalatha was hearing the petition challenging the election of Gangula Kamalakar. Ponnam Prabhakar, who contested the election on a Congress ticket, had challenged Gangula Kamalakar's election.
Gangula Kamalakar won the election from the 26-Karimnagar assembly constituency. The poll was held on December 12,2018.
The Court asked the Election Commission to produce the record by September 5, 2023.
The matter has been adjourned to September 5.
