Addressing a meeting at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri on the occasion of the Telugu New Year, Naidu said that, besides welfare, the State should also have law and order. Earning is important for everyone. Money that is earned should be spent in a proper way,ā he told the gathering.
Chandrababu Naidu said that Telugus across the world are the highest-earning community and felt that the Telugu community should also cultivate the habit of service to society. Only then the Telugus will hold top positions in politics too, he added.
āLiving standards are coming downā
Expressing serious concern that the people in the State have been feeling totally insecure in the past five years, the TDP supremo said that the living standards too have come down drastically in the recent past. āThe poor turned poorest as chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is giving Rs 10 from one hand to the beneficiaries of the welfare schemes and taking back Rs 100 from the other,ā he said.
What is important is that the financial assistance extended to the people has great value but it will not yield desired results if the policies are not acceptable. The world is moving ahead with the knowledge that the economy and the country will be on top by 2047, Chandrababu said.
āVolunteer system will be continuedā
The TDP national president utilised the platform to announce that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will soon announce the election manifesto with a main focus on the welfare of the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and the Backward Classes (BCs). āIf the schemes announced in the Super-Six reach every household the rival parties will lose even their deposits,ā he commented.
Chandrababu also announced that the volunteer system will be continued by the coming NDA government and this apart from their remuneration will be increased satisfactorily to Rs 10,000 per month. āBut I am telling the volunteers that the coming government will stand by them if they serve the people but not the party in power,ā he added.
Stating that he wanted to develop Amaravati much better than Hyderabad, Chandrababu Naidu said that during his tenure the then government attracted Rs 16 lakh crores in investments and provided six lakh jobs to the youth. The TDP always thinks about how to create assets and distribute the revenue to the people, the TDP supremo observed.
