KTR hits back at Amit Shah

Hyderabad: War of words between BJP and BRS intensified after IT Minister KT Rama Rao took the battle to PMO saying the 2024 poll will signal Modi's `Ghar Vapasi'.

KTR was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s diatribe against the KCR government.

In a series of tweets, he said BJP will be finished in Telangana. He said Prime Minister's seat will be vacant after the 2024 election. KTR noted that next year’s poll will signal "ghar vapasi" (homecoming) for Modi.

Lampooning the BJP, KTR said in Gujarat, where Pradhani (Modi) and Amit Shah previously served as Chief Minister and Home Minister respectively had the highest number of question paper leaks with 13 incidents in the last eight years.

Accusing BJP of being controlled by Adani, he criticized the party for seeking the intervention of a sitting judge into the affairs of the state government. He said all political parties had demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate Adani Group’s irregularities, but the Centre failed to constitute a Special Investigation Team.

The IT Minister also criticized the BJP government for filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that PM CARES did not come under the purview of CAG. He also lambasted the center for failing to address the River Krishna water share dispute and Telangana's requests for national project status for the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift irrigation project.

He challenged Shah to name a BJP-ruled state that performed better than Telangana in the last nine years, He said this is a challenge that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed to take up. He sarcastically thanked Shah for laying the foundation for different projects that were denied to Telangana due to the Centre's discriminatory approach.

"I thank Home Minister Amit Shah ji on laying the foundation for ITIR Hyderabad, National project status for Palamuru – RR lift irrigation project, Hyderabad Metro Phase 2, IIM, IISER, IIIT, IIT, NID, Navodayas, Medical & Nursing Colleges. Oh Wait, he did none of that. Amit Ji, Why don’t you name one BJP-governed state which has fared better than Telangana in the last 9 years?" he asked.
