Ghar wapasi: Dasoju Sravan resigned from the BJP, to join TRS

Hyderabad: Just days ahead of the Munugode by-election, Sravan Dasoju on Friday resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was in August this year that Dasoju quit Congress, where he was the AICC spokesperson and joined BJP.

In a letter to the BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, he wrote, "You said that you would do alternative politics, but the politics you followed in the previous by-elections are most despicable. Clearly, leaders from weaker sections like me have no place in the continued attitude of doing elections without social responsibility. It is about big contractors, collecting money bags, and investment politics."

Further, Dasoju expressed his dissatisfaction with the BJP's strategy of luring voters with money and alcohol rather than battling based on solid ideologies.

Following his resignation, there are speculations that Dasoju would join Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
