GHMC polls: AIMIM forays into BJP bastion Goshamahal, wins Dattatreya Nagar division
The AIMIM managed to win the Dattatreya Nagar division of Goshamahal constituency, a stronghold of the lone BJP MLA in the GHMC limits, Raja Singh, who is fondly called Tiger Raja Singh by his followers.

Hyderabad: The AIMIM managed to win the Dattatreya Nagar division of Goshamahal constituency, a stronghold of the lone BJP MLA in the GHMC limits, Raja Singh, who is fondly called Tiger Raja Singh by his followers.
Out of the four divisions in the constituency where the final result was announced, the BJP bagged three divisions and AIMIM candidate Zakir Baqueri won the fourth division
The AIMIM making inroads into Raja Singh's bastion and withstanding his strong base in the constituency will certainly boost the party's morale. Raja Singh has used every opportunity to train guns at the AIMIM and its chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
Meanwhile, the BJP won the Gachibowli division in the city's IT corridor. Its candidate V. Gangadhar Reddy secured an easy win over the incumbent TRS candidate.
