Hyderabad/Mumbai: The Congress on Tuesday alleged that there was a slowing down in uploading trends for the Haryana polls on the Election Commission website.
The opposition party also asked whether the BJP is trying to build pressure on the administration by sharing "outdated" and "misleading" trends.
In a post on X, Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said, "Like the Lok Sabha elections, in Haryana we are again witnessing a slowing down of uploading up-to-date trends on the ECI website."
"Is the BJP trying to build pressure on the administration by sharing outdated and misleading trends @ECISVEEP?" Ramesh said.
Latest trends uploaded by the Election Commission showed that the BJP was ahead in 49 seats while the Congress in 35.
The majority mark for the 90-member assembly is 46.
BJP has been brought to 48
The Election Commission website page shows the BJP at 48 seats from 11 am. After that, the website is not updated.
Congress seats are shown at 36
A senior Congress social media manager in Mumbai says, "The counting has been slowed to make the returning officers fall in line. In the Lok Sabha elections we have also seen this same type of tactic and that's how 10 seats were managed. The same is being noted in Assembly elections too."
In more than 27 seats, only two rounds of voting have been done, alleged Congressmen from Mumbai who are monitoring the situation. Congress leaders allege that the Election Commission of India is not giving certificates to those Congress candidates who have won the election. "They are saying we will give in the evening," this is ridiculous.
Why is the website not updating?
During the Lok Sabha 2024 elections too, the same was noticed. And in the present Assembly elections of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, it is being seen that Haryana is not being uploaded as it was done during the morning hours.
Jammu and Kashmir is being updated on an hourly basis with the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leading with 42 and winning one.
BJP leading in 26 and won 1
Congress leading in 8 but won none according to the ECI website at 12.40 pm on Tuesday.
