Hindenburg report: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Congress leaders protest outside ED office

By Kaniza Garari Published on 22 Aug 2024 10:58 AM GMTHyderabad: Hitting out directly at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana chief minister and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy said that the country’s debt has increased one lakh 15 thousand crores in the 11-years of rule.
“Modi has twice the debt of 16 Prime Minister’s of India. The questions on Hindenburg report should have been answered in the Parliament,” said Reddy.
Demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani issue and also resignation of SEBI chief Madhabi Buch, senior Congress leaders across the state gathered at Gun Park for protests.

Former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid, Congress party incharge for Telangana Deepa Das Munshi was also seen along with other senior leaders, members of Parliament and party workers from the state.
Holding placards "The Truth Will Prevail" and raising slogans, leaders and workers, as part of a nationwide agitation, took out a rally from Gun Park to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office and later participated in the dharna in front of the ED office premises.
"We demand the resignation of the SEBI chairperson and constitution of the JPC to investigate Adani Megascam," they said.
Revanth asks KCR’s stand on Adani
“Why are BRS leaders not questioning BJP on Adani scam? Why is KCR not questioning BJP? Why is KTR not talking about this robbery on Twitter? This is proof that BRS is in favour of BJP which is ruling the wealth of the country.”
Revanth Reddy carried out a scathing attack on BRS demanding they come clear on their stand on JPC.
Sonia Gandhi statue in Secretariat
A statue of Sonia Gandhi will be installed inside the secretariat on her birthday on Decmeber 9th to prove that “we are the true heirs of Telangana.”
Congress has stepped up its attack on NDA government after the Hindenburg report.
SEBI and Adani claim reports baseless
SEBI Chairman Buch and her husband have denied the allegations levelled against them as baseless and asserted that their finances are an open book.
The Adani Group has also termed Hindenburg Research's latest allegations as malicious and manipulative of select public information, saying it has no commercial relationship with the SEBI chairperson or her husband.
