How can Rs IL Cr corruption take place in Rs 80K Cr project? KTR mocks Rahul Gandhi
He asked Rahul Gandhi to know the facts about Kaleshwaram
By Newsmeter Network Published on 3 Nov 2023 3:33 AM GMTTelangana: BRS Working President KTR slammed Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, for accusing the KCR government of Rs one lakh crore corruption in the Kaleshwaram project.
"Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy went to inspect Kaleshwaram and were propagating that the bridge would break. They talk like they are expert engineers. These two leaders were showing expansion joints of a bridge and planting fear in people by stating that the bridge would break," he said
KTR's response came hours after Rahul Gandhi visited the Medigadda (Lakshmi) barrage and inspected the piers that had recently sunk in. The barrage is a part of the Kaleshwaram project.
KTR alleged that Rahul Gandhi does not know history nor does he make an effort to learn. He should either change the script or change the scriptwriter.
He asked Rahul Gandhi to know the facts about Kaleshwaram and not just read the script given by the leaders sitting beside him.
Launching a scathing attack on Revanth Reddy, KTR said he was a blackmailer and a corrupt leader who was caught red-handed in the vote-for-note case. He said Revanth is now selling tickets for money.
āWhen the Telangana govt spent Rs 80,000 crore on the project, how can Rs 1 lakh crore corruption take place?ā KTR asked.
The Medigadda was constructed in a place where Shabari, Pranahitha, and Godavari meet. The intention was to maintain water in Pranahita River to face drought conditions if any in the future, KTR said.
Rahul Gandhi, currently campaigning in Telangana, flew in a chopper to the barrage at Ambatpally village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally.
A few days ago, there was a barrage leak at Annaram Saraswati Barrage in Mahadevpur mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. It was reported that the water leakage was noticed at gate number 28 and 38. This is the second leakage reported in the Kaleshwaram project.
On October 21, pillar number 15 to 20 of the Medigadda (Lakshmi Barrage) barrage sunk in. The National Dam Safety Authority constituted a six-member committee to inspect the water leakage.
