Ahead of Huzarabad by-poll, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao appointed Banda Srinivas as Chairman of Telangana State Scheduled Castes Development Corporation Limited (TSSCDCL).
Hailing from Huzurabad in Karimnagar district, Banda Srinivas comes from SC (Madiga) community. He has been active in social activities since his student days. He served in various capacities in the Congress party. He also served as district secretary of Congress party's student wing in Karimnagar.
He excelled as a hockey player and worked as the President of Huzurabad Hockey Club. He is working as the vice president of Karimnagar district Hockey Club.
He has also served as the Director of Huzurabad Agricultural Market Committee and member of District Telecom Board. He was elected twice as MPTC from Huzurabad Town.
He actively participated in the Telangana statehood movement under the guidance of KCR. He rendered his services in various capacities to the TRS party. He was president of Huzurabad Mandal, district secretary, and state joint secretary.
Srinivas responded to every call given KCR and participated actively in the party and government welfare programmes.
