Amaravati: TDP national president and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asserted that an "anti-Jagan Reddy wave" was sweeping the state because of his three years of lawless policies.

Kicking off his three-day Rayalaseema 'Badude Badudu' campaign in Kadapa district, the TDP chief described the massive response to his tours as an indication of rising resentment against the government. The youth are taking part enthusiastically in the TDP campaign as Jagan has destroyed the future of the youth and plunged their lives into darkness, said Mr. Naidu. He added that in his 43 years of political career, he has never witnessed this sort of roaring response to his roadshows everywhere.

Local people arrived in large numbers to welcome Mr. Naidu at Kazipet in Mydukur Assembly constituency. A huge number of cars, bikes and motorcycles accompanied his rally all through. Mr. Naidu said the "iron leg CM" had destroyed the whole state with his unchecked looting. He alleged that a liquor bottle worth Rs. 60 was being sold at Rs. 200 and added that Jagan's own manufacturing and retailing units are selling his brands.

The TDP chief said it was a shame that people in border districts were going to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Odisha to buy liquor and petrol because harmful and cheap brands were being sold at high rates in AP. He said the "mad Tughlaq Jagan" was imposing taxes even on the boards of traders and garbage tax was being collected from shops. Tomato price has touched Rs. 100 per kg and the highest petrol, diesel, and gas prices in the country were seen in AP, he said. Jagan has zero knowledge on how to rule the people, he added.

Condemning the YSRCP's policies, Mr. Naidu recalled how he had given unemployment allowance and created jobs in the private sector. "My struggle is for your future. I am 72 years old now but I can work like a 27-year-old. I am more active than you. Except in sleep, I will use all other time for your sake," he said.

Regarding the Y.S Viveka murder case, he asked the Kadapa people to speak out if the TDP was responsible for the murder. Hardcore criminals tried to turn an axe attack into a heart attack, he said sarcastically. Mr. Naidu pointed out that the Bharati cement cost was rising endlessly while the poor people's lives were getting crushed. Ganja and drug gangs are destroying the whole society while land grabbers, encroachers, and anti-national elements are threatening people, he alleged.
