Jagan begins campaign to remind Andhra people of CM Naidu’s ‘unfulfilled poll promises’
Amaravati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a five-week campaign titled ‘Recalling Chandrababu’s Manifesto’ to hold the TDP-JSP-BJP coalition accountable for unfulfilled election promises.
Addressing party leaders and coordinators on Wednesday, Jagan said the outreach will span from districts to village-level households, focusing on what was promised versus what was delivered during the first year of the coalition government.
QR code to track broken promises
A QR code unveiled during the event gives citizens direct access to the TDP manifesto and personalised data on the benefits their households were supposed to receive. “People must know what’s due to them and how they’ve been deceived,” Jagan said.
Signed ‘election bond’ comes under fire
Jagan slammed the pre-election ‘bond’ issued by CM Chandrababu Naidu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, which guaranteed higher welfare benefits starting June 24. He said it’s time for citizens to ‘redeem the bond’ and question the silence of the government.
Pending dues and welfare failures
The campaign will highlight key areas where the coalition has allegedly defaulted on fee reimbursement, hostel and mess charges and Aarogyasri healthcare dues. These gaps, Jagan said, have hit the poor the hardest.
Call to action against ‘draconian rule’
Jagan accused the government of using repressive tactics and urged YSRCP cadres to fight back by staying rooted among the people. “This is not just about promises, it’s about trust. Let’s take this message door-to-door,” he declared. The digital-led mass contact campaign will unfold in five phases over the next few weeks, he added.
