Jagan turned Centres Aayushman Bharat scheme into YS Arogyasree: Nadda takes dig at AP CM

Vijayawada: BJP national president J.P Nadda on Monday said that Vijayawada was an auspicious place to arrange the party meeting. "Vijayawada is said to be the shrine where Arjuna performed penance, and it is auspicious to arrange a meeting in Vijayawada for the party to succeed in Andhra Pradesh," he said.

Mr. Nadda addressed BJP Shakti Kendra pramukhs and karyakartas at the meeting in Vijayawada which is part of his two-day tour of AP. Addressing the public, he said, "Our goal is to keep the country well equipped so that the country is not afraid of our enemies. Everyone should be prepared to strengthen the country in that way." He asked the party activists and booth workers to spread awareness about the works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is working actively to solve all issues.

Mr. Nadda criticised the Opposition for changing the names of all the Central schemes including the Garib Kalyan Yojana. "AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has turned the Aayushman Bharat scheme into the YS Arogyasree scheme, but Aayushman Bharat will work anywhere and YS Arogysree will not work outside the state," said the BJP chief.

BJP has set up 10,000 Shakti Kendras in the state and 8,000 of them have set up committees while 2,000 kendras are yet to be set up. Mr. Nadda asked the party activists to complete the process in the next two months and recruit new activists. He said to include women, BCs, SCs, tribals, Muslims, and people from all walks of life in the committees.

Mr. Nadda visit Rajahmundry on Tuesday and address a public meeting being organised to mark Narendra Modi's eight-year rule.
