By Newsmeter Network Published on 12 Jun 2021 6:45 AM GMTVijayawada June 11: Andhra Pradesh Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has visited New Delhi to seek funds and protect the interests of the state. He slammed TDP leader Yanamala Rama Krishnudu for alleging that the Chief Minister had visited New Delhi to save himself from cases.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said the Chief Minister had met five Union Ministers and Vice Chairman of Niti Aayog in Delhi and discussed pending issues related to the state.
He made it clear that these meetings had nothing to do with politics. He said Chandrababu Naidu used to make secret pacts with the Centre in the previous government and it is well known that he compromised on Special Category Status and accepted special package.
Sajjala flayed TDP and a section of media for politicizing Delhi tour of the Chief Minister. He said the Chief Minister has been trying sincerely to get resources for the State which has suffered due to the COVID pandemic.
He came down heavily on Naidu for claiming credit for release of Godavari water to delta through the spillway and reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has stated that the TDP chief had been using Polavaram project as an ATM. "The Chief Minister has requested the Centre to release pending arrears. He also discussed infrastructure facilities in newly formed colonies, the Polavaram project, decentralization of administration and Special Category Status.
He said they have requested to appoint a Supreme Court judge to solve bifurcation problems. He said Raghurama Krishnam Raju has been conspiring against the government and hence YSRCP MPs have requested to take action against him. He denied the reports that the Chief Minister visited Delhi regarding that matter.
