Jana Sena fumes at rumours about Pawan’s marriage, threatens legal action

Amaravati: After several media organisations and social media reports were seen circulating rumours about Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and his wife Anna Konidela, the Jana Sena party has decided to take strict legal action against rumour mongers.

In the past few weeks, posts were shared on Twitter claiming that the couple are going for a divorce.

A statement released by Jana Sena cell chairman Sambasiva Pratap Evana on Friday said that the party’s legal cell has noticed the false news and rumours circulating in social media, and news websites about the marital life of Pawan Kalyan and his wife Anna Konidela, with malafide intention to create havoc in the minds of the followers of Pawan Kalyan.

“It clearly shows that there are some abettors behind it and they have conspired to humiliate party cadre and create disturbance in public peace and tranquillity and utilise the same to fulfil their evil purposes. We demand the above said criminal conspired persons to pray unconditional apology towards defamation and disclose the concealment of conspiracy through the same social media without any delay, (sic)” said the statement.

The party has decided to take legal action against all the persons who are circulating false news and are also liable for provocation, defamation, criminal conspiracy, and abetment under Sections 153, 499, 500 and 120-B read with 34 IPC and also other sections at the time of filing of the case.

On Twitter, the party said that they have identified a number of social media accounts affiliated to the YSRC Party which are continuously working with a malafide intention to defame Pawan Kalyan and his wife. The party also tagged a list of media organisations which have written about the rumour.

“We have also found various digital news websites, influential meme pages, YouTube channels and other media houses circulating the same. Strict action will be taken against everyone who is involved in this act of provocation and defamation, said the Jana Sena party on their Twitter handle.
