Jubilee Hills bypoll verdict an endorsement of Congress development agenda: TPCC chief

Nizamabad: The victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election is a clear endorsement of the Congress government’s development and welfare agenda, declared TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Goud stated the win is a resounding message that the BRS party has no future in the state.

‘Farewell to BRS, warning to Congress’

“The people of Jubilee Hills have endorsed development and welfare and delivered a remarkable victory to the Congress Party,” Goud said, dedicating the success to every leader and worker who toiled for it.

He asserted that the verdict from Jubilee Hills ‘has once again proved that BRS has no place in the state,’ a sentiment previously made clear by the BRS receiving a ‘zero’ mandate in the recent Parliament elections.

Goud also emphasised a strong warning aimed at the opposition: “With this verdict, the people of Jubilee Hills have sent a strong warning to the BJP, which is blocking BC reservations.” He reiterated the Congress Party’s commitment to providing 42 per cent reservations to Backward Classes (BCs).

‘Congress will remain in power for 10 years’

The TPCC President expressed high confidence in the party’s future electoral prospects, stating that Congress will remain in power for at least ten years and is ‘certain to win 100 seats in the upcoming elections.’

He highlighted that the victory, which elected BC leader Naveen Yadav, was a result of the collective efforts of the leadership. “The credit for electing BC leader Naveen Yadav goes to CM Revanth Reddy, ministers and every Congress worker,” he noted.

GHMC campaign

Goud stated that the massive majority received by the party reflects public satisfaction with the government’s initiatives. He viewed the Jubilee Hills win as a crucial stepping stone, much like the Cantonment by-election.

“The Jubilee Hills victory serves as the beginning for the GHMC elections,” Goud stated, expressing confidence that the people will extend their full support to the Congress in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polls as well.

He conveyed special thanks to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on behalf of the party, adding that every leader succeeded in explaining the government's development and welfare measures to the public.

Government advisors Sudarshan Reddy, Shabbir Ali, and others participated in the media conference.
