Accusing the Prime Minister of hindering the state's development, KCR said Mr. Modi is the state's enemy and added that the time has come to dethrone the BJP-led Union government.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 16 Aug 2022 2:45 PM GMTHyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao once again took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public meeting in Vikarabad on Tuesday. He accused the PM of telling stories and dialogues in his Independence Day speech and said there was nothing for the people in his speech.
Accusing the Prime Minister of hindering the state's development, KCR said Mr. Modi is the state's enemy and added that the time has come to dethrone the BJP-led Union government.
'Centre creating hurdles'
While the IT and industrial sectors in TS have developed at a fast pace and the state's revenues have improved tremendously, the Centre is creating hurdles for Telangana, alleged KCR. "Did the BJP do even one good thing in eight years?" he asked and warned people to be careful as different kinds of people come during the elections. "We should think carefully and avoid the suffering faced in United Andhra Pradesh," he added.
In the guise of electricity reforms, the Centre is imposing restrictions on farmers by installing meters. Petrol, diesel and cooking gas prices have skyrocketed and the Centre is obstructing free power to farmers and helping corporates loot crores of rupees, KCR alleged. "We have enough coal reserves in Singareni. Modi is imposing new rules to buy coal from outside," he added.
He further said that PalamuruāRangareddy project is delayed due to the Central government's indifference. "Modi is the main enemy of Telangana state," KCR said. Telangana has submitted hundreds of applications to the Centre in the past eight years, but there is no response, he added.
Highlighting the slew of schemes introduced by the state government, KCR said Palle Pragati and Pattana Pragati schemes helped develop villages and municipalities and under the Rythu Bandhu scheme, Rs. 10,000 crop assistance per acre is provided annually. The government waived the water dues of farmers and is launching schemes for the welfare of farmers.
KCR said under Mission Bhagiratha, safe drinking water is being supplied to every household and 24-hour electricity is being provided to all sectors. Also, free electricity is being provided to more than 26 lakh motor pumps. Stating that no schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima are being implemented in the world, he asked people not to be deceived by the lies being spread by rival parties.
'Fulfilled promise to make Vikarabad a district'
Speaking about Vikarabad's rich history, KCR said, "Vikarabad ka hawaā¦lakho marijon ka dawa (Vikarabad's air will cure many ailments)." He said he had promised to make Vikarabad a district during the Telangana movement and he had fulfilled his promise. "Would Vikarabad have become a district if Telangana was not formed?" he asked and added that all government offices in the district will now function under the single roof of the newly-constructed integrated collectorate.
He said that the supporters of United Andhra had created a misconception that land rates will fall in Ranga Reddy district and had obstructed the formation of Telangana, but today land prices have increased in Telangana.
