KCR disrespecting the Constitution, Guv by refusing to hold R-Day parade: YS Sharmila
She said KCR’s disrespect for the Indian Constitution is evident in his reluctance to conduct a full-fledged Republic Day event at Parade Grounds.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 26 Jan 2023 10:02 AM GMTHyderabad: YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief Y.S Sharmila, while extending Republic Day greetings to the people of the country, came down heavily on Telangana Chief Minister KCR for attempting to cancel the Republic Day parade and other celebratory activities.
“I feel privileged to extend my hearty Republic Day greetings to every Indian, and I am proud to acknowledge that the Indian Constitution has always been a beacon and an inspiration to many countries. It proudly embedded unity in diversity, and let us recall the ultimate vision and the unmatched endeavour of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar, under whose leadership the Constitution was drafted,” she said after hoisting the national flag at the YSRTP office premises in Hyderabad.
She slammed KCR for disrespecting and insulting the Constitution by demanding that the Constitution of the country be changed. “This is the same KCR who, by taking Constitutional cover often, sparked off the Telangana sentiment and became chief minister. Today, he shows scant respect for the Constitution. He has breached every promise he made and broke the trust of every Telangana citizen. Didn’t he take oath as per the Constitution? What stops him from keeping his promises of making a Dalit the CM, building double-bedroom houses, giving one job per family, and giving zero-interest loans to women?” she asked.
She said KCR’s disrespect for the Indian Constitution is evident in his reluctance to conduct a full-fledged Republic Day event at Parade Grounds. “His cheap tricks and political vengefulness is a dark spot in the history of the state, where no CM or any other people’s representative had to date dared to perpetrate such a shameful deed. He and his party henchmen try to implement KCR Constitution. What a shameful irony that he dishonours the Constitution of the country and then dreams of ruling the country!” she said demanding that he apologise to the state and the nation for constantly insulting the Governor and her position.
Sharmila also expressed her full support and solidarity with the Governor.
