Hyderabad: Launching a scathing attack on BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao, chief minister A Revanth Reddy threatened to put the latter in Cherlapally Jail if KCR continues using ‘improper language’ against Congress leaders.

During his tours to the districts, KCR had allegedly used derogatory language against Revanth Reddy and the Congress government. The chief minister rebuked this by saying, “I am Revanth Reddy, not Jana Reddy. If you still don’t stop annoying me, I’ll take you to the Cherlapally Jail and feed you jail food (chippa koodu).”

‘Can’t keep quiet any longer’

Revanth Reddy claimed that although KCR had previously used derogatory language against him in Nalgonda and Karimnagar, he had been patient. However, in his Suryapet press conference, the former chief minister had ‘crossed all limits’, said CM Revanth.

“Because of KCR’s power outage, hip fracture, and daughter’s incarceration, we have been restraining ourselves. Remaining silent was a humanitarian gesture,” the chief minister said.

Revanth Reddy further said that Congress would ask for votes where Indiramma houses were built, and he dared KCR to seek votes where the BRS had built double-bedroom houses for the impoverished. Under KCR’s decade rule, the Telangana State had been destroyed for a ‘hundred years’, he alleged.

Telangana model will outperform country

The chief minister also said that the dynamic Telangana model would outperform prime minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat model and pave the way for other states to reroute the nation.

“In Telangana, we have fulfilled our promises to impose assurances within 100 days. We need to send more Congress MPs from Telangana to advance good governance, bring in more federal finances, and install Rahul Gandhi as prime minister,” Revanth Reddy said.

Revanth hits at BJP

Taking a jibe at BJP Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy, the chief minister alleged that while Hyderabad is experiencing difficult times, Kishan Reddy, hoping that the Congress government in Telangana collapses, did not contribute a single rupee to the state.

Revanth stated that it is a struggle rather than an election between the Modi and Gandhi parivars, refuting Modi’s claims that the Congress is a ‘parivar party.’

“On one side is the Modi parivar, which consists of the ED, CBI, IT, and EVMs, on the other is the Congress parivar, which consists of martyrs who gave their lives for the PM position, such as Indira, Rajiv, and Sonia Gandhi. “In this parivar, there are crores of party workers and desh bhakts like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi,” Revanth Reddy said.

Kishan says Congress promises are empty words

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s speech at the Tukkuguda meeting, Telangana BJP unit president G Kishan Reddy challenged Congress to have the fortitude and bravery to honour the promises they made to the state.

He asserted that the great old party’s promises and guarantees had been empty words. “While it was promised before, a monthly allowance of Rs 4,000 has not been given to the unemployed youth in the state. What has happened to the promised debt remission to farmers?” asked Kishan Reddy.

Kishan Reddy also said that the Congress leader is speaking of the nation’s advancement but is unable to carry on these promises in Telangana. The Union minister added that Gandhi was speaking without knowledge when he said that after Narendra Modi took office, the country’s citizens had become impoverished. Kishan Reddy also claimed that the lower number of BCs among the nation’s top authorities is due to the Congress.

“The BJP was the one who elevated a member of the BC community to the position of prime minister and the Congress had never given the community any thought,” he said.
