On Saturday, the BJP formally announced former Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy as its candidate. TRS is fielding former MLA and constituency in charge Koosukuntla Prabhakar Reddy while the Congress has named Palvai Sravanthi as its candidate for the by-poll. To take on the Reddys, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) is fielding Andoju Shankara Chary from the BC community.
