KTR slams CM Revanth for ‘pleasing guru AP CM Naidu’, says ready to take any drug test

Khammam: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Friday launched a scathing attack on chief minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of sacrificing Telangana’s interests to please his ‘guru’ and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu.

KTR also challenged CM Revanth to produce any evidence linking him to drug use.

Ready for any test, says KTR

Addressing a press conference in Khammam, KTR refuted the chief minister’s recent allegations that his circle was linked to drug consumption. “I am ready to undergo any tests. Let him come out openly instead of indulging in cheap gossip,” he said.

CM Revanth, during an informal media interaction in Delhi on Thursday, had claimed that forensic reports linked KTR’s friend Kedar’s death in Dubai to a cocktail of drugs.

KTR questioned how he was responsible for someone’s death and demanded proof for the allegations.

‘Mortgaged Telangana’s interests to his Guru’

The BRS leader accused CM Revanth of offering ‘guru dakshina’ to CM Naidu by agreeing to the Godavari-Banakacherla link project. “After boasting that he would not attend any meeting on Banakacherla, Revanth silently reached Delhi and bartered away Telangana’s river water interests,” he alleged.

He further pointed out that while CM Revanth claimed Banakacherla was not discussed, AP Irrigation minister Nimmala Rama Naidu confirmed it was the first agenda item, with Telangana agreeing to refer the matter to a joint committee.

‘Only Modi govt can ensure justice in river water sharing’

KTR reiterated that justice to Telangana is possible only if the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government recognises Telangana’s share of 968 TMC in the surplus Godavari waters, and if Chandrababu Naidu withdraws court cases against Telangana projects like Kaleshwaram.

‘CM Revanth resorts to diversion tactics’

He accused the chief minister of making wild allegations about phone tapping, Formula E race, or Kaleshwaram whenever questioned about his unfulfilled promises and failures.

“Despite having the State police under his control, CM Revanth has failed to prove a single allegation,” KTR remarked.

Clarifies on Nara Lokesh meeting

Responding to Revanth Reddy’s claim that he met Andhra minister Nara Lokesh secretly, KTR said he did not meet him but questioned what was wrong even if he had. “Lokesh is like a younger brother to me, an educated person, not some bag-carrying thief like you,” he told CM Revanth.

KTR says CM Revanth needs medical attention

KTR advised CM Revanth’s family to admit him to a mental hospital before he ‘completely goes mad and starts roaming the streets, tearing his clothes.’

Phone tapping allegation against Revanth

KTR also alleged that CM Revanth was tapping the phones of deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, who are reportedly eyeing the Chief Minister’s post.

KTR challenges CM for lie detector test

Finally, KTR reiterated his long-standing challenge to CM Revanth for a lie-detector test, reminding that the Chief Minister was once caught red-handed in the cash-for-vote scam.
