Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Telangana on February 24 to participate in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra.

The visit is aimed to energize BJP cadres ahead of the Lok Sabha polls,

A ten-day, 5,500-kilometre `Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra’ commenced on Tuesday and will traverse 17 Lok Sabha and 14 Assembly segments concurrently from four locations. During the yatra, the BJP leaders will elucidate the different welfare programs introduced by the Union Government and showcase their achievements.

The leaders will also discuss the shortcomings of the BRS Government and the dishonest practices of the Congress. The yatra will conclude on March 1, 2024. The Telangana BJP unit is keeping an eye on all the preparations for Amit Shah’s arrival. He had earlier visited Telangana on December 27, 2023.

As part of his visit to the state, Amit Shah will guide the state BJP leadership in the Lok Sabha elections. Reportedly, Amit Shah will set a goal for the local leadership in Telangana to garner 35 percent of the vote share and at least 10 MP seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Modi will be Prime Minister for third time

Union Tourism Minister and BJP Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy said that people across the nation are anticipating Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister for the third time. Speaking after launching the party’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Narayanpet, he said that Modi is offering corrupt governance from the Centre. Over 4 crore dwellings have been constructed in the nation in the last decade during Modi’s rule, he added.

KCR family ruined Telangana on all fronts

"Regrettably, the attitude of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana prevented the construction of houses from proceeding at the anticipated pace," Kishan Reddy remarked.

In the past, the KCR family ruined the state in all sectors. Now the newly formed Congress government is looking to steal the wealth of Telangana and win the Lok Sabha elections, he accused.

Kishan Reddy said that the Congress-led central government saw a rise in terrorist activity. Under Modi's rule in the last decade, terrorism has been subdued and brought serenity to the nation. People should note that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are very crucial for the bright future of the children and people of the country, he said.

BJP won't align with BRS

Taking a jibe at the Congress and the BRS, Kishan Reddy said that they are family parties. He said Revanth Reddy came to power by deceiving the people with false promises. “The BJP will contest independently in the Lok Sabha elections rather than allying with the BRS. Moreover, the BJP will not approach a party like BRS which is a sinking ship. We are proceeding with a strategy of contesting for 17 MP seats in Telangana in an attempt to gain the majority position,” he added.

Vijay Sankalp Yatra schedule

Komaram Bheem Vijay Sankalp Yatra began from Bhainsa and would cover the Lok Sabha constituencies Adilabad, Nizamabad and Peddapalli. The yatra launched by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sarma will continue for 12 days covering 1,056 km in 21 constituencies. MP Dr K Laxman and six legislators will participate in the yatra.

Rajarajeswar Vijay Sankalp Yatra began from Tanduru of Vikarabad district and would cover the Karimnagar, Chevella, Medak, and Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituencies. The yatra launched by Union Minister BS Verma will cover 1,217 km in 22 assembly constituencies. Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other leaders will participate.

Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant flagged off the Bhagyanagar Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Bhongir town. Telangana Congress flays BJP's Vijay Sankalp Yatra

Reacting to Vijay Sankalp Yatra of the BJP, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary (Mahabubnagar Parliamentary Constituency) and CWC special invitee Challa Vamsi Chand Reddy dared the BJP to declare the projects sanctioned to Telangana in the last decade. Instead of hoodwinking the people with false yatras, the BJP leadership should focus on the holistic development of the people in Telangana, he said.

Launching a scathing attack on the BJP for setting a target to achieve 370 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Vamsi Chand Reddy said that almost two decades ago, the saffron party came with the slogan ‘Shining India'. At that time, the people rejected their fake campaign and defeated them in the Lok Sabha elections. A similar situation is likely to prevail for the BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, he added.

Vamsi Chand Reddy also said, “It is better not to talk much about the BJP and BRS alliance dramas. Now they are not trying to alliance with each other. Already the two parties have been in a secret alliance for years. “The BJP pulled all its efforts to defeat the Congress in the Assembly elections with the support of BRS. People of Telangana are aware of their secret pact that's why they defeated both parties. It is the Congress party that will develop Telangana on all fronts by implementing six guarantees. People should teach a befitting lesson to the BJP and the BRS in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
