Mahanadu: Naidu slams Jagan for 'welfare betrayals', calls CM 'inefficient leader'

Ongole: TDP national president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday slammed the Jagan Reddy government for crushing the people of the state with its "welfare betrayals, all-round looting, and unbearable taxes." Mr. Naidu said the ruling YSRCP leaders were so criminal, corrupt, and incorrigible that they had no right to rule any longer. All sections of people were rejecting the false welfare claims being made by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, he alleged.

The TDP chief was delivering his inaugural speech at the party's two-day Mahanadu conclave in Ongole. In his speech, he described Jagan as an "inefficient leader" who has been presiding over maniacs, liars, and hardcore corrupt criminals. In just three years, the YSRCP misrule has pushed Andhra Pradesh into a Rs. 8 lakh crore debt trap with zero development and no roads, said Mr. Naidu. He accused Jagan of selling Rajya Sabha nominations while at the same time telling blatant lies to the people. One YSRCP RS nomination was given to Telangana's former TDP leader who got 12 backward castes like Thurpu Kapu and Koppula Velama deleted from the BC list. This leader had gone to court and put hurdles in 4% reservations for Minorities, the TDP chief said.

Mr. Naidu said the general public was not acknowledging the bus yatra that the YSRCP ministers were conducting to take "false credit" for social welfare. The people's non-cooperation began in the Chief Minister's Eluru meeting when the public left the venue despite the police pleas and threats, he added. The TDP chief said that if Jagan does not quit politics, AP will not see good and happy days again. People should unitedly raise the slogan of "Quit Jagan" to save AP from future destruction. Jagan has such a black track record that he turned "babai" Viveka's axe attack into a heart attack and enacted 'Kodi Kathi' drama to win polls with sympathy votes, he alleged.

Condemning the YSRCP regime, Mr. Naidu said the government was giving far less under Amma Vodi and taking back a lot more through Nanna Buddi. The TDP had spent 52% of the budget on welfare as against just 41% by the Jagan government. "How can Jagan claim welfare credit when he removed Anna canteens, Videsi Vidya, Pelli Kanuka, Sankranthi Kanuka, Ramzan Thofa, Christmas Kanuka, and Chandranna Beema?" Mr. Naidu questioned. He said Jagan looted people with his harmful cheap liquor brands while the sand mafia raised the cost of a tractor load from Rs. 600 under the TDP rule to Rs. 5,000 under the present rule. No sand is available for the CM's false claim of constructing 30 lakh houses for the poor, he said.

"Jagan is signing false MoUs at Davos with the same companies that worked under the TDP rule. The agreement with Adani Data Centre was signed during the TDP rule. Jagan cancelled the same and signed a more or less similar MoU with that company in Davos now," said the TDP chief.
