Minister Azharuddin reiterates commitment to minority development in Eid message
Hyderabad: In a special Eid-ul-Fitr message to the state, Minister for Minority Welfare Mohammad Azharuddin praised Telangana’s unique culture of brotherhood and assured citizens of the government’s unwavering commitment to their safety and rights.
Equal opportunities for every citizen
Citing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s vision, the Minister stated that providing equal development opportunities to every citizen, particularly minorities, remains a core responsibility of the current administration.
Reflecting on the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, Azharuddin noted that through fasting and various acts of worship, individuals develop a deep sense of empathy for their loved ones and those in need, receiving divine blessings in return.
Communal harmony in Telangana
“Eid is a time to share happiness and celebrate together,” Azharuddin stated.
The Minister particularly lauded the state’s long-standing tradition of communal harmony. He emphasised that the people of Telangana have always celebrated Eid and other festivals together in harmony, serving as a strong example of culture and brotherhood.
According to Azharuddin, this tradition is a ‘guarantee’ of the state’s continued progress. Azharuddin also highlighted the government’s efforts under the leadership of CM Revanth to strengthen secular values and traditions.
Education and economic opportunities
He pointed out that the administration is specifically focused on the educational and economic development of minorities.
Recalling the Chief Minister’s address at the Daawat-e-Iftar held on March 15, the Minister reiterated the government's stance on inclusivity.
“CM Revanth Reddy has already emphasised that it is our government’s responsibility and keen interest to provide equal opportunities for progress and development to every citizen in Telangana, and that includes minorities, too,” he remarked.
