What is the Viksit Bharat challenge?
In 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked citizens to accept the 100-day challenge of performing impactful tasks in the Viksit Bharat Ambassador module on the Namo App.
Through this challenge, the ambassadors have to enroll and share the transformative journey of India through various social media apps.
The Viksit Bharat ambassadors, enumerated multiple stories of Digital India, success stories of over 1 lakh start-ups, and how the Gati Shakti initiative had turned a game changer in reshaping the country’s infrastructure and opening up growth potential.
"Once we took up this challenge, we had a few tasks to do. Our main aim is to share positive stories about India introduced under Modi's leadership. Also, more ambassadors are to be added," said Sai Prasad.
Sai Prasad enrolled 23,000 ambassadors and among them, the majority of 20,000 hail from Malkajgiri, the biggest Lok Sabha constituency in the country. He created a WhatsApp group, where all the members were trained and guided in different time slots to spread the message of new India, which gradually made it reach over 10 lakh people.
"Other activities include watching videos of India's progress and sharing them, taking up tasks like Nari Shakti selfie and incredible India selfie. I had a tele-calling team and on-ground volunteers who supported these activities," Sai Prasad told NewsMeter.
When asked about his views on the challenge, he said, "When we were doing this task, we saw so much love for Modi, especially IT employees, ex-servicemen, and youth. We did not find it tough or did not convince people, because many of them were well aware of most of the popular schemes of Narendra Modi."
