Hyderabad: National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy for passing derogatory remarks against Telangana governor Dr. Tamilisai Soudndararajan. The MLC has been asked to appear before the Commission on February 21 at 11.30 am.


“Whereas the National Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the derogatory remark made by you against the Governor of Telangana Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan. The remark is outrageous and demeaning to her dignity,” the NCW said in the notice. "MLC Kaushik has been asked to appear before the Commission in person on the aforesaid date and time. If he fails to appear, necessary action will be taken against him," the NCW added. MLC had accused Governor of not giving assent to the bills. He had used foul language and passed derogatory remarks against Dr. Tamilisai Soudndararajan.
