Hyderabad: Minister of Revenue, Housing, and Information Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has appealed to Leader of the Opposition K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and all BRS MLAs to attend the upcoming Assembly session starting March 16.
The Minister asserted that the government is fully prepared to address every question raised by the primary opposition party.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Monday, he emphasized that the treasury benches are ready to provide evidence-backed answers to any arguments presented by BRS members. However, he criticized the opposition for allegedly prioritizing their personal agendas over public issues.
Justice for Velugumatla Evictees
Minister Ponguleti assured that the government would provide full justice to the displaced residents of Velugumatla in Khammam district. He noted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has already issued clear directives regarding this matter.
Eligible residents will soon be granted house titles (pattas).
The government will sanction Indiramma Houses for the affected families.
He reaffirmed that the current administration consistently stands by the poor.
Rebuttal to BRS Allegations
The Minister did not mince words when responding to BRS's recent allegations regarding an Outer Ring Road (ORR) crusher plant. He vehemently denied ownership of the facility, dismissing the claims as "baseless and senseless." "People are making cheap allegations that I own a quarry near the ORR. I don't even have the patience to run a crusher; it is not mine," the minister clarified.
The Facts Behind the Controversy:
Company Identity: The Minister identified the facility as Tirumala Crusher, which holds a valid license for waste crushing and supply.
The Container Issue: He explained that the company had utilized one of his containers and had likely removed his name from it, leading to the opposition's confusion.
Warning to Critics: Ponguleti warned his detractors that he knows how to handle those making "wild accusations" and promised to give a fitting, evidence-based response on the floor of the Assembly.
