Revanth Reddy promises to dismantle Dharani

Hyderabad: The preparations for the upcoming elections of the Telangana Assembly have begun with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Revanth Reddy urging youth to be at the forefront and fight Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing a meeting in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy stated that the youth must come forward and work to fight against KCR in the state. Reddy said, “A Congress government should be formed in Telangana. December 9 is the birthday of senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and we must work hard to give her the state of Telangana as her birthday gift.”

Party manifesto

For the upcoming elections, the manifesto will be released by the Congress on September 17. This day is commonly observed as Telangana National Integration Day. “We are going to fight the elections on five important points affecting people. Inputs of those working on the field are being taken into consideration.” Telangana was formed from the agitation of youth, and there are 1,200 students who sacrificed their lives for the formation of the state.

Dharani will be cancelled

The land registration portal Dharani has become a tool in the hands of the government, said Reddy. “Dharani was brought only for a few landlords. This portal has resulted in 97% of the state land becoming a dispute. The Congress party will cancel Dharani after coming to power,” he added. Reddy stated that manipulation in the registration of land is prominent in Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy and Malkajgiri districts.

Discussion on development

Reddy stated that Finance Minister Harish Rao and Municipal and Information Minister KT Rama Rao must prepare for a discussion on development. He said, “If you have done something new that the Congress party has not done let us discuss and debate it.”
